are you a student looking for a developer role?

Fancy using your development skills to build web & mobile based software solutions that people actually use, around your studies and while you get paid?

We’re looking for students with a love for coding to join a new start-up from 3 SIDED CUBE called “Cube Academy”. Cube Academy is focused on developing mobile apps that have an impact on millions of people’s lives, whilst providing the support and guidance to help you excel and meet your full potential.

what you'll be doing

This isn’t an internship where you’d be doing some unimportant project on the side, we want to fast track you to building software, web and mobile apps that we ship to the public. We’re working on projects that either work towards disrupting industries (Yes we said disrupting...don’t hate us), saving lives or improving the environment.

Ideally you’ll be university, college or sixth-form student, and will be able to commit a minimum of eight hours per week. This role is about working around your studies to give you full control of when you want to come in.

We’re about getting the most talented people working together to build real products. This means you’ll already be highly skilled, but looking to gain more experience and exposure to real-life projects.

We’re looking for people that love coding, like.. really love coding. You will have been coding for years, ideally starting before your teenage years. Like in sport the younger you start and the more hours you practice, the better.

Strong experience coding in one or more of the below is needed:

Javascript

Go

Java

PHP

Swift

Objective C

C++

C#

Python

Experience of cloud based hosting systems such as AWS, Google Cloud and Azure a major plus.

what others have done

Matt built an app to warn people of hurricanes, which became the number 2 app in the US, with 250,000 downloads over a single weekend. This led to him having his work showcased on the White House website. Soon after leaving university, he went on to lead the 3 SIDED CUBE iOS team.
Peter developed the first WYSIWYG CMS for mobile apps, whilst studying at St Andrews University. The app is now used in 80 countries and in 45 languages. He has since gone on to join Google as a software engineer.
Phill designed and built an app while at sixth-form that became the number 1 app in 30+ countries, with over 18 million downloads. His work was featured on BBC, NBC, Sunday Times and more. Phill went on to lead the entire product output at 3 SIDED CUBE and is now Head of Product Concepts at London-based Founders Factory.
Simon built and launched an app that became number 4 in Australia, whilst studying Physics at Imperial College London. He has since gone on to build a number of life-saving mobile apps and AR-based experiments. He’s also developed a couple of his own projects, including the extremely successful Camrote.
Callum built and deployed a platform that raised £15 million for charity in a single day while at college. After completing college he went on to lead the Android team at 3 SIDED CUBE, producing life-saving apps used by over 20 million people.
